making the magic happen...
I spent the last 2 months of Cleveland's worst winter learning how to be a better photographer. No one was booking work. Who wants to have their portrait taken during an "arctic plunge"?
So I studied and watched tutorials. And I taught photography classes at the local senior center. I found myself learning and growing as a photographer while teaching. I pushed my students with homework assignments. And I pushed myself to learn more and become a better photographer.
This past weekend I was able to finally take photos. I did an engagement portrait shoot at Whiskey Island. And I did a little girl's "glamour party". I was so happy to be behind the camera, shooting pics and getting to know people. Trying new portrait poses and using props.
I thought I'd hate using props, but the empty picture frame was really fun! And really, if people want to have specific poses or props and it makes them happy, it makes me happy.
Although my favorite pics are the natural ones...
But poses can be fun!
Back to natural....
